Youth WASH Concern Workshop:
XI Series
Youth WASH Concern Workshop is an
empowerment and capacity building program for youth on WASH, organized jointly
by Paschim Paaila and ENPHO. Youth WASH Concern Workshop is regular event of
Paschim Paaila organized every year. Youth WASH Concern Workshop
XI series was successfully conducted from 10th February to 12th
February, 2017 from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm at Seminar Hall of Nobel College. The
main objective of workshop is to enhance the capacity and knowledge on WASH, to
empower youths on WASH initiatives as social issues to motivate youths as Youth
WASH ambassador and to sensitize youth on importance of WASH to create
environmentally healthy community.

This three day workshop was
conducted with presence of total 24 participants. Participants were selected
from various institution and educational background on the basis of their
application. Online application was opened 15 days prior to workshop. Workshop
was facilitated by Paschim Paaila team and, 7 resource persons from different
organizations took sessions on varied topics of WASH. Sessions of workshop basically
focused on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), disaster, behavior change, SDGs,
wastewater and its management and motivation for youth all linked with WASH.
Presentations from resource
persons who were young yet experienced professionals in the sector of WASH and
group activities grabbed interest of participants. Participatory approach on
workshop made workshop even more productive. Creativity of participants was
explored during group work and activities in workshop. Participants reviewed their knowledge during
group work by dance, song, drama and presentation on different topics based on
sessions taken during workshop. Each group made their action plan which will be
implemented in coming days marked successful completion of three day workshop.
