Youths from “paschim paaila” have been making college/university youths aware on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) with the mutual collaboration of ENPHO and CAWST through the campaign entitled, “WASH Knowledge Sharing Campaign-11” Campaign from February, 2011 continuing up to Aril, 2011.

It has been two months that the campaign has kicked off with the objectives to sensitize, empower and engage institutional youths on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) issues as social issues and maintaining sustainability of the efforts with the formation of WASH Circle, an informal coordinating team on WASH initiatives.

The campaign has intended to replicate the initiatives via youth-youth approach. So, the college youths from different colleges has been engaging school/community based WASH awareness programs, Clean Initiatives, Special Day Celebrations, Sharing Programs, etc. Also, youths trained during the campaign from two institutions such as Nepal Institute of Health Sciences (NIHS) and National Academy for Medical Sciences (NAMS) have already formed WASH Circles to continue the similar initiatives in future as well. Similarly, Campaign initiatives are running on other two institutions.

Furthermore, on the occasion of World Health Day-2011, a grand celebration and sensitization program entitled, “WASH Get-Together” with a theme, "WASH for Health" is going to organize on April 7, 2011 at NAMS College, Old-Baneshwor with the participatory approach of respective institutional youths, which is also expected to be grand success with the opportunity to “Think Globally, Act Locally”.
